Together, we raised $10 million to help those affected by the war in Ukraine
The war in Ukraine has created a humanitarian disaster. The UN has warned that the number of people fleeing the country may rise to 5 million in the coming weeks and months. Our teams are working around the clock to support people in Ukraine through our products, defend against cybersecurity threats, and surface reliable information, while taking extraordinary measures to stop the spread of misinformation and disrupt disinformation campaigns online.
To help provide immediate aid and support relief efforts, Google.org and Google employees have already committed over $25 million in donations and in-kind support. As part of this, in Poland, Google.org and Google employees have committed $10 million (nearly 40 million PLN) in humanitarian aid and refugee support. The funds will go to organizations such as Polish Center for International Aid (PCPM) and The Association for Legal Intervention, which is part of the consortium of social organizations working to aid refugees upon their arrival into Poland.
To further aid relief efforts, Google.org matched $5 million in donations to this campaign, and together we raised $10 million. Although Google.org is no longer matching donations, your contributions can still provide critical relief to those in need.
