Vietnam is facing a new COVID-19 crisis. Google recently granted $1.5 million to UNICEF to support Southeast Asia, including Vietnam, with urgent medical supplies including oxygen and testing equipment, to where it's needed most. The funds will be utilised to facilitate equitable vaccine access by supporting the organization of COVID-19 vaccination in Vietnam.

The Foundation operates Nụ Cười (Smile) joints serving meals costing only 2,000 VND each, established by the nationwide private fund authorized by the Ministry of Home Affairs. They have worked diligently to deliver affordable meals to the city's homeless and laborers most stricken by the pandemic.

BeCause for Hope
BeCause For Hope is tackling the most urgent needs recommended by the local doctors by raising funds to purchase oxygen concentrators to support the field hospitals around Saigon. The goal is to reduce the number of patients who progress to more serious stages of the disease and protect ICU units from being overloaded and therefore lowering the mortality rate overall.
